In order to keep your data safe, we have introduced Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for user accounts.
Added security value
MFA adds another layer of authentication during sign in process. As until now, you’ll be asked to provide a password. Once that checks out, you’ll be asked to provide a verification code sent to an authenticator app on your phone. When the verification is finished, you’ll be securely signed in. This ensures that if someone steals your password, they will not able to steal your IoT data.
What is affected by MFA
MFA flow will be required when a person wants to sign in to AllThingsTalk IoT Platform. MFA is not affecting the usage of our HTTP API or MQTT broker to access the data (authentication with Ground, Device, Application or Gateway tokens).
